Our Management Team
Parallax Open Source is the culmination of the enterprise journey of
two brothers, Ranold Ochen Oree and Arnold Opio Oree; commencing formally
and officially in January of 2002, with the founding of Parallax
Information Communication Technology Limited.
Our two co-founders hereby have to date almost fifty years of business,
management, and technology experience between them.
Passion for technology and the benefits it can bring to people and
planet is and has been the cornerstone and epicentre of Parallax Open
Source from its very beginnings. And these values are deeply and
inalienably ingrained into our two co-founders, management team,
organization culture, and ways of doing things.
Arnold Opio Oree, Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Arnold is someone who is very powerfully motivated by the prospect
of doing good for others, and for improving the context in which we all
live, interact, and experience.
The Internet in its early days, along with the Sun Microsystems Java
2 ecosystem as powerful proponents for what is possible for the
betterment of people and planet, provided a context strongly influencing
and shaping Arnold's personal and professional character through the
early years of Parallax.
Arnold is deeply passionate about the full computation stack, from
hardware, to software, to networks, to systems architecture, to
information architecture and everything in between.
Arnold holds a special interest in the power of technology and
computation systems to rapidly accelerate societal development, and
spends a lot of time developing and furthering projects to bring rapid
positive societal development to under-developed nations and
regions.
